Pineula Incorporated Society is a thriving community with 70 paid members and an extended whānau. We take pride in mentoring 35 rangatahi, developing positive role models for our sport.

We compete locally, nationally, and at the highest international levels, attracting paddlers from beginners to World Champions.

First Pineula team established under Manukau Outrigger Canoe Club

1990

Pineula ʻMulivai’ Open Men’s team attend their first World Championships

1994

Gold at World Championship Samoa. Pineula name gifted from the village elders in Salani, Pineula means medal wearers

2009

Move from Sulphur Point to Takapuna, invited by Bill Kapea and Team Phoenix

2024

Pineula Officially Incorporated. Multiple medals at World Sprint Championships
